  • My shows aren't being fully converted

Hi folks - new poster here and I'm hoping someone can help me. I have a Windows 7 Media Center, and I'm trying to set things up so all of the shows I record are automatically transcoded to work on my Zune (actually, my Windows Phone, but I'm assuming that transcoding to Zune will be fine...

  • MKV Movie to WTV

I have been trying to convert an MKV Movie to WTV with Metadata. Is there a profile that will do this and add Metadata from either a website such as IMDB or an XML file? I have attempted to create one but my complete lack of understanding of DVRMSToolBox has gotten in the way. Your help is appreciated...

  • Remux H264 .wtv Recorded TV to .ts or .mkv? (with all audio intact?)

Hi there I'm based in the UK and watching UK and Nordic HDTV - which is all H264 (either 1080i25 or 720p50). I have a lot of recordings made in 7MC in .wtv format, and would like to be able to play them on other platforms. It looks like DVRMS Toolbox should be able to do what I want - but I can't...

  • Trouble with MKV to WTV

Hey guys, I'm brand new to dealing with video files and the whole transcoding-encoding-decoding thing. I've been reading a lot and I'm trying to learn, but I can tell I'm way in over my head here. I used this tutorial on the Media Browser site to convert MKV files to WTV using DVRMSToolbox...

  • Re: WTV MPEG2 to WTV H264?

Is there any way to achieve this yet? WTV MPEG2 (or dvr-ms MPEG2) to WTV H264 with all the metadata preserved?? This would be a perfect way to archive all of the movies I have in my MC7 Recorded TV setup. Does somebody have a profile they have created for this? I've been trying to figure out how...

  • Can't "resume" on a wtv file created by dvrmstoolbox

I have created several wtv files from DVD and Bluray sources by remuxing a mkv file with dvrmstoolbox to wtv. This has been a bit of a trial and error process to start with, and now that the wtv files are playing well on the HTPC and extenders I notice the resume feature doesn't work properly. It...

  • Problem w/WTV to DVRMS conversion

I'm having problems with the first step in removing commericals - converting from WTV to DVR-MS. I'm running the script that is included in 1.2.2.0. See the last lines below. Any ideas why it is not completing correctly? This is driving me nuts. Start Process: 1/29/2010 : 11:00 PM InputFile=I...

  • MKV quality settings?

I just installed DVRMSToolbox with a plan to convert a bunch of old recorded TV shows to MKV (and perhaps back to WTV but with H264 rather than MPEG2 for space saving). On my first attempt, a 3GB ~40minute WTV recording compressed down to a ~480MB MKV, but the quality is not quite what I would like....

  • Re: WTV conversion does not complete?

I'm having this same issue; have been converting MKVs to WTVs now with not-too-many hiccups. From a 5.5 GB file to a 15 GB file, they all stop around 1GB. It wouldn't bother me too much except it's a different size, roughly around 1GB, every time I try, so I'm not sure what's quitting...
