  • Convert WTV to iPod, no commercials: ffmpeg trouble

I've been trying to get a profile set up that automates converting my Windows 7 HD WTV-based shows converted to an iPod friendly format with commercials cut out. I've followed some of the blog and forum posts (including on this site), but all of them seemed to have one problem or another so I've...

  • Since upgrading to Windows 7, getting 2-sec audio delay with converted videos

I've been using DTB for the last few years to convert my DVR-MS recordings to WMV format for my Zune media player, with my Desktop Vista (32-bit) system. Last week I upgraded to Windows 7 (64-bit) with a clean install, and I didn't load any video or audio codecs (so I should be using whatever...

  • Re: CUDA support

i dont know any command line applications that do CUDA converting, the only two programs I know are Badaboomit, and Power Director 7, and neither work with dvrms or wtv. PD7 imports wtv and converts it to an mpeg, but i have had so so success with that usually not working completly. I would be open to...

  • .wtv todvrms multiple audio?

I installed the tv pack on my vista ultimate x64 pc, and I'm trying to convert wtv files to dvrms using todvrms but it is not going well. Every time i set it to work, it works it takes about 10 minutes and creates the dvrms file, except there is an extra audio track that says the video description...

  • CUDA support

any chance of getting CUDA support in a new version? I know it probably means rewriting most of the code, but it would be so usefull. After seeing my 9600gt tackle a 1hr HD recording in 45mins that took my core2 duo 7hours to convert, I kinda would love for DTB to be able to use CUDA. just a request...

  • Re: easiest way to convert hd?

Ok, hd converting works! (yay!) it doesnt take too long about (2.5-3.5) hours depending on if i do anything else with my computer at the same time (dreamweaver, photoshop). Here is the profile i used in case others want it. full-process-Mencoder-Archive-WMV-60-SA I also added this to my Mencoder.conf...

  • Re: easiest way to convert hd?

Well, I've done a few more files, and now weird things have happened. DVT says that the process completed, and saves the log file, and it only gets to about 10% finished before DVT closes. Mencoder however is still running using about 50% of my processor, and converting the file. after about and...

  • Re: easiest way to convert hd?

well, my complete goal is this: 1. remove the commercials, from dvrms file, 2. convert dvrms file to something else (avi (any divx encoding will work), wmv, mpg) 3. finish i just want to know the easiest way to get the original HD recordings to be compressed to something that is smaller then the 6.2gb...

  • Re: Support for Mediacorder drives

Stephen Toub's blog has full source code to various methods for working with dvr-ms files. And can even save the closed captioning data so you can search based on dialog in the show, its all in c# .net maybe there is something in there that can help. But I think you have everything already, you already...
