  • DTBVideoEditor Error (DVRMSToolbox 1.2.1.9 - feature)

Dear Babgvant I hope writing this message is addressing a new issue. DVRMSToolbox 1.2.1.9 is great, btw... and it was the first version that actually loaded the DTBVideoEditor, unlike the lack of runnig in 1.2.1.8. However, I am having some trouble with converting. I know how to edit timecodes for improper...

  • Transport Streams to DVRMS with TV Metadata

I see there is a profile in DVRMSToolbox to convert MKV to DVRMS and pull TV metadata and import into TV library. I want to do this with previous TV recordings from BeyondTV. It is a .tp transport stream file. So basically I just want to convert .tp instead of mkv and leave everything else the same....

  • Re: Updated comskip and mencoder?

I'm wondering this same thing. I have a good number of .avi files which will not be processed by dvrmstoolbox. The filewatcher picks it up with no problem. I see the .mpg being created up to a certain point in the DTBTemp folder, then the creation stops. I'm going to post this in another thread...

  • Unable to Convert to any format with toolboxGUI if input file is more than an hour. WTF?

If it's a 2 hour show it just crashes. If it's a one hour show, success! This is on a Vista machine of impeccable breeding. Any ideas?

  • I have a mpeg, now what?

Yesterday we discussed how to use DTB to make a file into a mpeg, today let's answer Galt's question . This is a much easier process because we've already done the real work, and now it's really just extending the process with a few actions to turn it into a file that MC will see as a...

  • Scanning unsupported files for commercials

Say you have a file that isn’t supported by Comskip or ShowAnalyzer that you’d like to automatically scan for commercials. There are a couple of reasons for this; either the codec isn’t supported or the container isn't (or both). Fortunately the approach to solving both issues is the same. In this...

  • Expression

Danorum wrote an action that uses MS's Expression Encoder to convert dvr-ms files. He was kind enough to post it in the forum. I haven't had a chance to dl expression and try it out yet, but it looks very promising.

  • DVRMS to iPod conversion

In the comments section of a recent post , Chris Lainer mentions that you can use DVRMSToolbox to convert files for viewing on the iPod. He didn't mention that, unlike most things with DTB, there is a well documented process doing exactly this. It's actually been available for a long time, and...

  • Convert with Ffmpeg

Following up on my post yesterday. I wrote an action that makes using ffmpeg to convert dvr-ms files much simpler. It uses a similar method of defining profiles. although in an xml format, to pre-define the video and audio properties ffmpeg will use to convert the file. To use the new action Verify that...
