I have installed 1.1.0.5 and have tried to convert a TV-recorded DVR-MS to both .mpeg & .wmv. I set both input & output files & run the job. It virtually goes straight to 'save output file'.

Here is a copy of the saved log. I don't know why is is attempting to find commercials in the file as I am not using any profile with commercial detection. I don't know what the issue is, I never had any conversion worries with v1.1.0.4. Thanks.

Check the Processing Conditions editor: judging from the log, 'Every file' is set to run the nativecommdetect profile, change it to run your conversion profile instead.

OK. This has caused an issue:

1) by altering the process every file to convert the recorded DVR-MS file to MPG, it is doing exactly that. I was unaware until the Media Centre began doing multiple records of the same programme; because the drive had been gobbled up with the processed *.mpg files there was not enough room for the records on the drive where the DVRMSToolbox output (in Documents & Settings) is stored.

Is there another way to setup DVRMSToolbox so that the convert DVR-MS file to MPEG does that & not find commercials in the file I am attempting to convert? Also, why is this only become an issue with the 1.1.0.5 version? The 1.1.0.4 worked perfectly out-of-the-box. Thanks.

 This is my preferable options for DVRMSToolbox's use:

1) to process recorded DVR-MS files to mark the embedded commercials' start & stop points for ease of playack.

2) to be able to manually load DVR-MS files into the DVRMSToMPEGGUI to convert to MPEG file for commercial deletion & recoding to XVID.

I'm not sure what has changed between versions to prevent this happening as it did with v1.1.0.4. Thanks.

I have tried to comprehend the WIKI to setup a new condition to allow this without much success as I don't really understand the terminology involved.

it sounds like you set the every file PC to use the profile that converts instead of the one that finds commercials (the default one).  when you're using the GUI do you check the box that uses the selected profile? if it's not selected the PC are evaluated to chose the correct profle.

It seems the little things in life have once again passes before my eyes. I totally missed the checkbox. The problem with using a 29" CRT for a main display. That was it: I guess that was not in the previous version. Thanks.

I can now go back to working on automating the programme as I'm a little more familar with it. Thanks for developing it.
