Is this the right place for an Antipack question?    I'm trying to figure out why 7MC won't play the WMV 5.1 audio track, but WMP does.     Is this the sort of thing Antipack or AC3 Filter could fix?

WMAPro audio is handled by the WMADMO decoder.  AFAIK, there is no subistitute for it.

My guess is that MC isn't setup for multi-channel playback.

Odd.  I've gone through the speaker and audio setup several times now (7.1 & S/PDIF).    Recorded TV plays the 5.1 Dolby track just fine.   It's just when I try to play the Amazon WMV through the "Pictures & Videos" menu, something re-encodes it down to stereo.    I've removed all the 3rd party codec packages I could find.

Another BD/HDCP issue with TMT 5 has me considering a complete re-install.   I assume this works fine for everyone else?

 Figured it out (to some degree).   WMV playback in Media Center uses whatever the "Default Format" is for "Shared Mode" on the device, while WMP puts the device in exclusive mode, and hence can play the WMV track directly.    By making the Default Format "Dolby Digital", I at least got 5.1 from Media Center.    Now I have three possibilities:

1. Find a hack to make Media Center always use exclusive mode

2. Find a hack to get "WMV" into the "Default Format" list for shared mode

3. See if AC3 spidifier will save me.

I didn't buy the SC-07 so I could do software conversion of audio formats!  :)

Does WMAPro show up on the audio device properties tab?

Yes, on the "Supported Formats" tab.  And pressing the "Test" button lights up the "WMA + PL IIx Movie" on the SC-07 LCD as expected (same as when I use WMP), but it DOES NOT show up on the "Advanced" tab where you specify the format used in "Shared mode".    Only 2 channel PCM formats are listed there.

Through various tests I've figured out that 7MC uses "Shared mode" for WMV files, and uses exclusive for WTV files, but WMP uses exclusive mode for WMV.  If there was only a simple switch...
