I moved my commercials folder to my WHS since I have 2 media centers and I also move most of my recorded TV files to the WHS as well.  The problem I am having now is that the extenders throw an error message about the addin stopped working.  The event logs have an entry stating that the directory name is invalid.  I already set the folder and share permissions to full control for everyone but it still doesn't work.  I remember that there was a way around this a couple of years ago, but I can'r remember. Anyone help me out?

1) Use an UNC path (if you're not)

2) give the extender user access to the path

I did all that.  I even opened that share to "everyone" with full control.  Turns out I needed to go into the WHS Console settings page and allow extrender access to that share on that screen. Thanks.

I think that falls under #2 :)
