I'd add to make sure you can drive the display with LCD Smartie (should have come with the display).  If that doesn't work LcdWriter won't either.

Absolutely. If it doesn't work with LCD Smartie, your drivers are installed incorrectly.

Sorry for the delay.   THanks for all the help.  What ended up being the issue was the 64bit driver for LCD Smartie was not functioning correctly.  It worked with LCD Smartie, but not with LCDWriter.  I was able to remove it from the system and reinstall the 32bit and all was working just great!   THANK SO MUCH.   One more random question.  On some of the displays, there is a random "i"  on the far right.   What could be causing that?   Example playing a recorded TV show and it says:

     Criminal Minds                          i

Thanks again for all of your help!!!!!!!!!

I fixed that, but forgot to publish a new build.

I had noticed that as well, but thought that it was simply due to me running LCDSmartieand LcdWriter at the same time on the display.  Mine didn't stay as an "i" though, but was a random character.

Also, recording status never did work for me. Not a big deal anyway.  The recording symbol comes on, but never goes away.  Channel and related data of recording is never shown.  Perhaps MSAS in Windows 7 doesn't relay this data.

I'll try to get it packaged and uploaded to the site this weekend.  Remind me if that doesn't happen :)

    Re: LCDMODKIT.com with LCD2USB

Hi!!!, I follow the steps to configure LCDWriter with my LCDMODKIT installed in my HTPC (Windows 7 64 bits), it's great to see Media Center info in the display ... thougth it wouldn't be possible since my LIS2 Premium doesn't work (¿?).

I have a problem after resume from standby, the LCD shows the first row (2x20) with all characters white and the second row without info .... the only way to make it work again is to unplug and plug the USB, open LcdWriterConfig, Writer tab and click Save ¿could you help me?

I would like to adjust contrast and brigtness, it's possible?

    Thanks in advance.

    Regards

There are registry settings for contrast/brightness - look at the lcdwriter key it should be self explanatory (if you can't find them lmk and I'll look it up).  I have no idea why the display doesn't init properly after resume.
