Commercial cut does not work on HD recorded TV

I am trying to run the Profile "Cut commercials out of a DVR-MS file and output DVR-MS".
My input file is a 30minute dvr-ms tv show recorded on WMC.
The show is in high definition and captured on a Dell laptop running Vista home premium.
Everything appears to run properly but I only get a small output file.
When I try to play in Windows Media Player I get a black screen video and no audio.
The original file plays great in WMP but I would like to remove the commercials.
The output file is only 3MBs while the original file is about 3GBs.

Does the "commercial cut" work on HD source files?
    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

    Unfortunately it does not.

    I tried using DVREdit v. 1.2004.10.6

It appeared to be working fine until I tried to save.

Then it returned an error "Saving - Append Ex: 0xc00d0bd9"

When I hit OK on this pop up, I received the next message.

Saving - Thread exited with error: 0xc00d0bd9

Any ideas of other things I might try?

generally that means the file is corrupt.  you can try converting it to another container/format maybe that will fix it.

Re: Commercial cut does not work on HD recorded TV

    Thanks for the help.

I tried a number of other files of different length and different stations.

All of them result in the same error when I try to save them.

I guess I could try to convert them to another format but I really would like them to remain in DVR-MS.

This has the metadata for use in WMC.

Any other ideas I might test?
