    Movie Meta Data help?

Can anyone point me in the right direction?  I am trying to convert MKV and AVI to DVRMS movies with  toDVRMS.exe with meta data.  I know how to automactially import meta data into to a TV show conversion via tvdb.com but not with Movies.  I know how to turn on the Movie stiwch in todvrms but is their a way to automacilly import the meta data say form a mymovils' xml file?

    Thanks

    Alton

Have you had any success in converting the .MPG to .DVR-MS?  The process works up until the point where it creates a .MPG from my .MKV file but then I get the following in the log...

Read metadata from TvDB and build Sage XML file.

The MKV to DVRM profile will stop after completeing the mpg if the file name does not match a show from TVDB.  I have been using todvrms.exe to convert the mpg file that is put in the temp folder to convert movies.  I think I am doing everything ertong but it works.

So I use MKV to DVRMS to get the mkv to mpg, then I use todvrms.exe to get the mpg to dvrms.

Interesting.  I tried that & was able to get todvrms.exe to generate a DVR-MS file but for some reason it wouldn't play in Media Center.  I couldn't figure out what switches todvrms.exe accepted but found somewhere using Google that -m -v were two that worked so I used those.  The MKV files I have have Dolby Digital 5.1 & I was wondering if you know if this conversion process retains that audio encoding?

Thanks for your quick reply.  I think I might just get this to work!

Are you sure its Dolby 5.1?  I know that MKV to DVRMS can not do DTS.  I have similiars issue then found out that the audio track was DTS.  I know in theory you should just demux the mkv, convert DTS to ac3 and remux but have not done it yet.

I found this link will make a tool that automatically convert MKV's with DTS to AC3.

you need to transform the xml into the sage xml format and put it in the same folder as the source mpeg with the same name.xml and todvrms.exe will use it to populate the metadata.
