    Dutch commercials

I have DVRMSToolbox installed for a few days now and I'm trying to figure out how it all works.I have selected the find commercials in DVR-MS and there are xml and edl files being created, also the auto skip function works but I wonder why the commercial breaks aren't cut out right. When a commercial starts it plays on and doesn't skip right away, after a while it skips forward but the commercial break isn't finish yet. That way I still have fast forward manually.

I have show analyzer (trial) installed with DVRMSToolbox and set preferred analyzer to automatic. If it works like it should I want to buy show analyzer but like this I'd rather fast forward and disable auto skip.

    Thanks.

To get this working you will have to tweak the settings for ShowAnalyzer to get better commercial detection.  I think what you want to do right now is use the right arrow to skip forward when you want.  The down arrow disables autoskip.

ok, any tips on what and how to tweak. Is comskip better?

isn't the right arrow doing the same thing as autoskip?

Usually it is dependent on your location so just trial and error.  I use both comskip and show analyzer.  I find that depending on channel one works better then the other.

The right arrow does the same thing as autoskip, but you mentioned it started playing commercials after the show ends, the arrow allows you to do the skip immediately.

    Good luck!

    Re: Dutch commercials

If I set it to automatic, depending on what does DVRMSToolbox make choice for comskip or showanalyzer?

    yes, sounds logic.

    Thanks

Automatic will use Showanalyzer if it is registered otherwise it will use comskip.

Dont forget (at least) adding output_dvrmstb=1 if you use it with DVRMSToolbox
