did you run the cmd to register mcestate then reboot? is ehmsas running?

yes, it will not install. It complains about the .msi file, I get a windows error 2356. I have done the 'manual uninstall' as directed.

After a manual install the toolbox gui works fine. I can process a directory perfectly. The commskip function will not work and I get a message with the Vista MEC loads that the commskip is not working. The file watcher loads as a service and does not seem to give a problem.

Thanks for your help and time, you are doing a great job. I know Vista is a real problem since Microsoft is really still writing the program even thought it has been sold to and used by many people.

even after all that you can't install 1.2.0.8?

I did a manual uninstall and the cleaned the registry with JV16. Also I did a search for the '1206' file and could not find it.

when I try to install over an old deleted version I get an error saying it can not read the DVRMSToolbox1206 file. I note that the DVRMSToolbox1208 file is included in the install. Could this be a problem? How do I fix it?
