It's only the first day, but so far so good... the commercial skipping seems pretty accurate so far.

But what has me intrigued is another feature of the DTB addin called Auto Zoom. I have long been frustrated by WMC not being intelligent enough about different zoom levels per channel/content type, etc. I hoped that this Auto Zoom function of DTB add-in might resolve it.

But at least so far in my limited testing it doesn't seem to work. I recorded a show that is 4x3 ATSC according to the metadata, but when I play it, zoom level 4 is not applied. So far I don't have any other 4x3 content to try but will try to record some tomorrow for testing.

But before I go any further, is this feature supposed to work? And furthermore does it work for extenders? The reason I ask is that even though I use Xbox 360s as extenders (which allow zoom level 4) I know that the other extender models don't have the horsepower for it. So I didn't know if Auto Zoom is disabled for extender sessions or something. I can't test if it works on the WMC machine itself since I run it headless.

So if the feature works for others and works for extender sessions, can anyone give me any tips on diagnosing why it doesn't appear to be working for me? Is there a log file somewhere or some hidden setting I need to check? I did make sure that "Auto Zoom" is checked in the MC Addin tab of settings as well as made sure the zoom levels were what I want (the default of 1 for 16x9 and 4 for 4x3 is exactly what I want). I know the addin itself works because it's skipping commercials just fine.

Thanks!

Edit: also I have made sure that "Get Video Information" is present (step #2) in the profile "Find Commercials in DVR-MS". I read somewhere that is required for auto zoom.

Also, is it normal that this forum software won't make paragraphs without inserting a (p) HTML tag? Without those, even with double line feeds between paragraphs they were all ignored and everything was joined together in one huge blob.
