Firstly, a very nice programme, especially with the commercial detection add-on.
I am wanting to upgrade to the latest version because I have never successfully updated the Comskip files to utilise the better detection algorithms. After copying the required files over the installed ones in the applications folder, I get the usual '...would you like to procees this show', then 'commercial file does not exist' & no *.xml file in the commercialsXML folder.
After attempting to uninstall DVRMSToolbox 1104 via the 'remove' button in 'add or remove software' I get an exception error dialogue box after the settings list (DVRMSToolboxSettings (1.1.0.4)) comes up & I cancel or save -does not matter which- & the installer closes down.
I then tried using the 'change' button in 'add or remove software', after Ghosting back to my latest working image; same deal. I then tried restoring my OS to before I uninstalled the 1104 version. Upon reboot, I get a DVRMSToolbox installer box appear & load the settings list. I close out & a box stating 'The specified service already exists' appears & after OKing that I get a 'Fatal error during installation.' box appearing. I also get this when I use the shortcuts in the start menu. OK, if I open directly from the *.exe apps in the DVRMSToolbx root folder they open but the profiles list is empty in the settings area!
I can't Ghost back at present as I'm recording programmes. Any ideas how to update to the 1105 version after I have reverted to a working OS? Thanks.
