    Manually uninstall DVRMSToolbox?

DVRMSToolbox on my HTPC is in a weird state.  When I open it, it tries to repair the installation.  If I try to uninstall it, it says:

"Error 1001. An exception occured while uninstalling. This exception will be ignored and the uninstall will continue. However, the application my not be fully uninstalled after the uninstall is complete ==> Object reference not set to an instance of an object."  When I click OK, it rolls back.

If I try to repair the installation, it gives an error "The specfied service already exists" and then rollbacks the install.

Is there a way to manually uninstall the application so I can reinstall it?

    Thanks in advance

    Re: Manually uninstall DVRMSToolbox?

I also wanted to to uninstall DVRMSToolbox to fix an issue, and I had the same behavior.

I found this post ( http://babgvant.com/Wiki/view.aspx/DVRMSToolbox/Do_A_Manual_Uninstall ) to perform a manual install, but it references an old Microsoft tool so I followed the suggestion to try the new tool and it fixed the uninstaller issue and uninstalled DVRMSToolbox.  I did not have to perform the manual uninstall procedure.

So, try this tool first to try to fix the uninstall issue.  If this doesn't work, try the manual uninstall above referenced above.
