    Transcode WMV to WTV or DVR-MS

    Hello,

    I'm having trouble trying to create either a .WTV or .DVR-MS file from my WMV file. The WMV is a MPEG2 video which I would like to view in the Media Center native recorded tv gallary. I saw dvrmstoolbox supports transcode from MKV to WTV so i assumed WMV is also supported.

    Here is the log ... basically, i think the graph fails to build:

    C:\Program Files\DVRMSToolbox\Applications>todvrms.exe "c:\TEMP\A-Team.wmv" "c:\TEMP\A-Team.wtv" -v -wtv
    Source filter GUID: 187463a0-5bb7-11d3-acbe-0080c75e246e
    Get stream pin
    Find Video pin
    Add AttributeEnable Filter
    Connect source to AE pin
    Connect first pin
    Add VA Filter
    Error: System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x80040217): No combination
    of intermediate filters could be found to make the connection.
       at DirectShowLib.DsError.ThrowExceptionForHR(Int32 hr)
       at babgvant.todvrms.SBEHelper.Convert()
    No combination of intermediate filters could be found to make the connection.
    arg[0] = c:\TEMP\A-Team.wmv
    arg[1] = c:\TEMP\A-Team.wtv
    arg[2] = -v
    arg[3] = -wtv

    Is it possible to do this kind of transcode?

    Re: Transcode WMV to WTV or DVR-MS

     todvrms doesn't transcode, it just swaps containers.  WMV is not a supported A/V type in WTV so you will need to trascode it to a format that is.
