Like many, I have followed the instructions from engadgethd to automatically downlload .avi's and .mkv's for processing by dvrmstoolbox. Sometimes it works great with both file types. However, certain files (maybe 30% of all .avi files) always fail at some point in the conversion process. I haven't had any problems with .mkv files yet.
In some cases it seems to process fine in the log until something like:

Other times, I don't seen an error at all, just that the logging quits. In both cases, I end up with a .mpg file in my DTBTemp folder which may or may not be complete, and no dvr-ms file in my Recorded TV folder.
