First, thanks for the great tool it has taken me a bit to get it working but worth it for instant skips. I had a question about updated versions of comskip and mencoder. I noticed the versions included in the dtb install package are a little older. I was wondering if there was a reason for this such as the newer versions broke something? I updated comskip and it seems to work ok (one version was crashing but latest is more stable). However I am not sure who's or what build of mencoder to look at. Is the build in dtb package special? If not who's build is recommended? Thanks for any pointers. Hoyty

I'm wondering this same thing.  I have a good number of .avi files which will not be processed by dvrmstoolbox.  The filewatcher picks it up with no problem.  I see the .mpg being created up to a certain point in the DTBTemp folder, then the creation stops.

 I'm going to post this in another thread, but the log typically states something like this:

 Move file specified in Context("OutputFile") to C:\Users\Public\Recorded TV\

 I was wondering ift perhaps a newer version of the mencoder.exe would help?

the build of mencoder was special (it worked with dvr-ms files), I don't know (or if I did at one point, it's slipped away) if the changes Jelwood made to make it go were incorporated into the main branch.  if they were and someone wants to provide a copy of mencoder that works with dvr-ms files, I'll include it in the next rev.

I'll try to remember to update the rev of comskip to whatever the latest public release when I package the next rev.
