 Ok so files are being converted and wtv deleted, but my vih files are collecting up along with the dtb logs on c:. Do i need to remove these files myself?

Also the wife has been experiencing the video error after recording are finished. What exactly is the procedure for watching a show? She normally starts it 15 min into or 15 min after its done, is that a no-no? She knows there is no comskip yet so the fact that the files are being converted means nothing to her. 

 Unfortunately, there is no fix to the Video Error. You have to wait it out until the show will start. I tried editing the Meta-data that didn't work. MS has a different set of metadata for the WTV files and I have no way to access it. It's also possible that it's not the meta-data either.

As a rule, just don't watch shows that "JUST" converted. Within an hour it'll be fine.

If you have the vih extension in your automatic cleanup and "Automatic Cleanup" checked, it will clean those up.

If your WTV files are not completing (recording is done or stopped) before the process begins, you can up the 480 in the profile. If you have a problem with shows getting cut-off because the WTV Converter has a bug, find a copy of the WTV Converter from 7077 with the dll from it.

Jere is working on a WTV Commercial scan (ShowAnalyzer) that's expected to be released this month.

I'll whip up a profile for people that don't have Early Access. The profile will work like LifeExtender.

 I donated last night and am waiting for EA. I tried to use LE in the mean time and it would not remove the commercials. I had 16files and gave it 8hrs and it didnt do any. Instead when i got home it was on 9-16 but none were edited and they were put in the blacklisted files box.

I just installed WTB7 ADDIN (right-click deploy) then ran dtbsetting and it tried to install and failed as well. I went through the compatibilty troubleshoot then it opened. I read that deploy had error in it but when i changed it to .txt i didnt see a line that says comskip.exe, mine is listed as .xml.

Anyway i went into 7mc and then i ot an error that dtb addin didnt launch. Also all my files in recordedtv are dvrms from FW except one which didnt convert for some reason. also i have one new recording and its been 3hrs and the wtv hasnt deleted yet, is that normal?

 No, it's not normal, as soon as it's done commercial scanning it should be deleted. This means that the comskip process didn't run and didn't delete the file because the file was still moving when Comskip tried to start.

I suggest increasing your poll time in the "FileWatcher" tab. If you have ATSC (HD) then see how long it takes to move the file manually from the conversion HD to the recordedTV HD..

Abuttino, i did this post from above with the deploy cmd to get dtb to open correctly, but i dont understand this line because i dont see an 'extras library' in dtb.

So far this is what i done: installed and setup dtb per instructions on page 1 > ran deploy from w7addin, got error when opening dtb and mce dtb adin failed to launch, did the cmd prompt instructions from pg3 now dtb opens as normal but i still get 'unable to  launch dtbaddin' in mce.

when i click on a recorded converted show i dont get the "do you want to process this show now" prompt. based on the first line above, is the w7addin a replacement for skip commercials checkbox inthe mce tab in dtb? other than that i have no idea how to disable comskipaddin, or how to process any of the shows i have already.

I am also starting to get 1min conversions as well since i did the cmd register of the deploy.

Seems to be working pretty good...  Only minor nit - *.edl files are left in the ProcessingShow folder.  Should those be copied back to Recorded TV or deleted?

I have been trying your profiles again and I'm still getting this 'starts after 8 minutes issue'. The process detects a new recording has commenced and then waits 8 minutes then continues regardless of whether the recording is still is progress. For example:

(15 minutes later the whole process is complete and the log file indicates that the last modification was around 9:15pm.  The show is 1 hour long and did not finish recordin until 10pm)

 I am baffled but looking at this thread I am not the only one this is happening to.

I have speculated that the file in recorded TV does not update in size as often somehow and it is being stored in a temp buffer first.I have watched recorded shows in progress and when refreshing the folder this seems to be the case. I am going to try increasing the wait time to 30 minutes to see in the process detects changes in the file size.

 I think extending the wait time has done the trick:

In this example I have extended the wait time to 30 minutes and it indeed detects a change in the file size. The process then waits another 30 minutes before continuing. This seems to suggest that (at least on my system) the recorded TV show file size is not being updated within the 8 minutes but is being updated after sometime after 8 minutes and before 30 minutes. Now to find this time to optimize the process. Perhaps 15 minutes...

How do you do this? I dont see this setting in SA, is it because its not registered? also all the FW logs in c:\public\dvrms\fwlogs are not being deleted either.

open the SA config tool and  change the MPlayer or SageTV setting to never.

I am interested in WTV to DVR-MS profile for MS's WTV Converter.
