Brand new to the tools and I'm endeavoring to convert a dvr-ms to mpg but the dvrms to mpeg gui stops at 38.78%.  The program shows as running but does not utilize any cpu.  I am using 1.1.0.8 on an xp pro sp3.  I fill in the input and output locations, select the mpeg conversion and give the output file an .mpg extension.  I have the show analyzer installed.  I'm too new to the program to know what other data would be relevant.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled and endeavor to convert the file about three times.  The recording plays ok in mce 2005.

Curious, why is this? And what exactly is the Ffmpeg conversion (OOTB)? I found a website for a 2004 version of ffmpeg, but I kinda doubt that is what you are talking about.
