    Media Bookmark for enabling DVD resume feature?

    Wasn't sure where to ask about this so hope this is the right place to post a question about Media Bookmark:

    Can I use Media Bookmark to get Vista Media Center to resume playback of DVDs (and ? Bluray discs) where I left off?  If so can you give some brief instructions about how to set that up?

     Thanks!

     not BR, but DVDs work.  enable the feature in the settings tool,you will be prompted in MC if you want to go to the saved location.

    I tried it out.  After watching part of a movie and then restarting the same DVD I'm prompted if I want to go to Bookmark, but selecting Yes seems to have no effect.  Any suggestions?

    Yes - I did watch a different DVD in between - isn't that supposed to be the purpose of the bookmarks or am I completely confused.

    Thanks!

    it is.  that's very odd, did it tell you to start playback?  what is the # in the vpos file?

    Yes, it asks if I want to resume from last bookmark.  I click Yes and then the DVD just continues to play as before, ie fromt he beginning.

     I just realized that I failed to mention that I am playing the DVDs back from a networked hard drive and using My Movies to select DVDs.   I had just assumed that would all work, but maybe that's a false assumption??

    What is the vpos file?  Where do I find it?

    my movies might make a difference (I've only tested this from the built in dvd library), but I wouldn't think so.  The application can detect that the file is playing and that a bookmark exists.  The location of the disc doesn't matter.

    the default location for the vpos files is %public%\dvrmstoolbox\videobookmark.

    Still trying to get this to work.

    Vpos file content is: 9.5

    when I go back to the moive I get a prompt asking if I want to resume at the bookmark.  I click yes.  Then get another dialog saying to play the movie, so I hit play, but movie just starts at the begining.

    9.5 = 9.5 seconds

    If memory serves; it will only jump when the diff is > 30 seconds
