I've done some searching, and I can't seem to find a solution that works for me for getting rid of the Error 80040154.

I'm using Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 x64, with DVRMS 1.2.1.1 and I've been getting this error for the past few days.  I've tried registering the dll(s) and it succeded in registering them, but i still get the error when i try to run it.

Is there a solution i havent tried?

(runing it with ffmpeg works, but i want wmv's) 

 I am having the same problem.  I am running DVR2WMV to convert to WMV for Zune.  Here is what I am doing

  I have a DVRMSToolbox Profile that looks like this..

• Throttle DVRMStoMPEG
• Convert DVR-MS to WMV using DVR2WMV
  
• Move file specified in Context("OutputFile") to F:\ConvertedMedia\Zune
• Delete file from F:\DVRMSToolbox\Temp

Convert DVR-MS to WMV using DVR2WMV uses a special Windows Profile (.prx) with the following settings:

• Video: 320 x 240
• 30 fps
• 700Kbps
• Audio: 128 kbps, 44 kHz, stero CBR
• Video: NTSC (29.97/30 fps)

When I execute the DVRMSToolbox Profile via the DVRMSToolboxGUI, I get the following output/error:

 I am utilizing the Vista Codec Package (both the x32 and x64 versions).  I tried all different codecs, but still have the problem.  Yes, I have searched for the CLSID error noted above but none of the suggested solutions have helped.

 I am running Vista Ultimate (without SP1) x64 based system.

 Help!

 it's probably a x64 issue (64-bit filters mixing with x86 dlls).  If you have a x86 mpeg decoder installed you can try dvrmstowmvhd (with -v specified).

 How did you succeed in registering the dll's?  I've tried the command lines others have offered but get an error that no module was able to load.  Can you provide exactly what you typed so I can try that before I try another route?
