I did a fresh install of vista ultimate x64 yesterday, and installed the new 1.2.1.1 dvrms. Good news, the "not responding" error did not occur, and I did not have to edit any registry settings.
Awesome work babgvant. Also, I put a request in your feature request forum. If I had multiple program guides, my life would be complete :)!
EDIT: I love the website's new theme also, very aesthetic.
