I now have 2 files recorded by Media Center that cause DVRMSToolbox to crash when it tries to convert them to MPGs.  I have probably converted close to 100 other files without problem.  The DVR-MS files will play without difficulty within Media Player.  I have also download and tried the latest version (1.1.0.2) but still have the same problem.

 The DVRMSToolbox log shows:

I can provide copies of the Windows appcompat log file (27 KB) or the original DVR-MS file (2 GB) if you have some place for me to upload them to (I'm not authorized to attach them to this post).

mpgmux.ax is the directshow filter used to mux the streams.  since the error stems from it, there really isn't anything I can do...

you could dump the streams as seperate audio and video files and then use a mpeg2 editing program (there are several available for free out there) to mux the streams into a single file.

nope... file corruption maybe.  do you have somewhere to host a sample file?  I can dl it and take a look.

It turns out I have 2 copies of MpgMux.ax on my system.   By mucking about with GraphEdit I created a working conversion by using the one packaged with AutoDVRConverter (5.00.813) rather than the one I had in system32 (5.00.727).

Do you include a copy of MpgMux.ax in your distribution?  If so, you might want to check what version you're using.
