Are we the only two out there with this issue? Weird....

Ok, when I turn on Logging and restart MCE, CommercialSkipAddin does appear in the Application Log and there are no errors. So it looks like it loads properly.

The only problem I have is that pressing the directional pad does nothing and commercials are not skipped automatically.

when you play a file, what get's written to the event log?

I restarted my pc and setup the logging, only thing it says is DVRMS Toolbox started successfully. So looks like everything is running and working but it isnt... HELP Please....

When you say "DVRMS Toolbox started successfully", do you mean you can see CommercialSkipAddIn line?  The add-in doesn't start (and won't write anything to the event log) until you start up Media Center.   Here is what you should see (click on image for larger version):

if nothing gets written then MSAS is broken... try turning on Log MSAS Events...

I added the rest of the troubleshooting tips to the Wiki, so try them all and report the results.

I mean really, format reload Windows MCE 2005, instal ALL updates and follow the directions for DVRMS Toolbox and SA and it doesnt work. But it did work when I had 1.1.0.1... Seems likely the issue could be with the new version. I would install the old but cant find it anywhere....

If MSAS isn't reporting status changes it's not the fault of the tool.  I've had it break on me before, after installing a MCE update.  I usually fix it by doing a restore, and then having another go.

Do you have any other MCE applications installed?  Like mytray, or frontview? 

Nope, trying to keep a simple install so as to not further complicate matters. :)
