Matt Goyer posted some answers to common questions about MCE in Vista a few weeks ago. I've been following the feature set of Vista MCE for a long time now, as I'm very interested in getting rid of my STB.

One thing struck me in the wording for this question:

Q: Will I be able to buy a cablecard reader off the shelf, a video card off the shelf and be able to playback [OCUR] content?
A: No.

Matt implies in the question that the OCUR and the video card need to play nice with each other, but maybe his use of language was deliberate and you won't be able to buy a cablecard reader, and a video card off the shelf, but you will be able to buy a cablecard reader video card bundle from an OEM distributer like Newegg.
