You can use ffmpeg to convert the DVR-MS file to a MPG file. This process will not re-encode the video or audio, so the MPG file will be exactly the same quality as the original DVR-MS.
The first step is to create a new Dtb profile to perform the conversion.
Next give the profile a name and description of your choice (I named my profile ffmpegconverttompg). One word of warning, make sure you don’t use spaces in the name.
The first action should always be the throttle action.
The next action is ffmpeg (this is really the ffmpeg to mpg action) but it is simply labeled ffmpeg.
Simply use the defaults on the ffmpeg action.
These are the only two actions you need in this profile, so click save and the action is ready to use.
