Profile Error Messages

I get a "Error in Do Work - ClassFactory cannot supply requested class" error when converting from DVR-MS to MPEG.

Make sure you have registered the muxer filter (see thread): regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\mpgmux.ax

I get a "Error in Do Work - COM object with CLSID {BC650178-0DE4-47DF-AF50-BBD9C7AEF5A9} is either not valid or not registered" error in any profile that converts to MPEG.

Make sure you have registered the muxer filter (see thread): regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\mpgmux.ax

Conversions to MPEG hang at 0.01% (or a similarly small percentage)

Verify that there is only one version of mpgmux.ax installed on your PC (see thread).  If you have two versions, try using the version that is not in a system directory (e.g., "c:\windows\system32\".  You can do this by backing up the version in the system directory, unregistering it, copying the other version into the system directory, then registering it.

I get an error saying mpgmux.ax failed or is not working properly.

mpgmux.ax is the default Directshow filter that is used to mux the streams - it is not part of DTb.  If it is not working, it has nothing to do with DTb.  Try registering it (see above) or Google.

I get a "COM object with CLSID {3EBC8DFD-87ED-4E41-B02A-ADC97C0F8FC1} is either not valid or not registered" error when converting from DVR-MS to WMV.

Make sure you have registered the filter: regsvr32 c:\program files\dvrmstoolbox\dvr2wmv.dll

You can also download and install the full version of DVR2WMV.
